Articles & Features

A collection of articles I've written and publications where my work has been featured, exploring nature journaling, outdoor learning, and environmental education.

In my recent article featured in CWRA Water News, I explore how Nature Journaling can be integrated into Project WET lessons to deepen student learning and engagement. By combining observation, curiosity, and reflection, this approach supports water literacy while fostering critical thinking and meaningful connections to the natural world.

In the summer of 2024, I had the exciting opportunity to write an article for the Georgian Bay Forever newsletter on the power of nature journaling and its value as a teaching and learning tool in the classroom. It was a joy to share insights on how nature journaling can spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and foster connection to the environment. A huge shout-out to my friend Ashley for her incredible support and guidance throughout the writing process, thank you for helping bring this piece to life!

2025 WILD Educator of the Year
I'm thrilled to share that I’ve been named the 2025 Canadian Wildlife Federation WILD Educator of the Year!
Thank you to the Canadian Wildlife Federation for this recognition — Here is the Link to the article in the latest edition of the WILD Magazine

I was honoured to be featured in In The Hills Magazine in an article that highlights a day in the life of my Nature Journaling work with Pine & Ponder Outdoors. The piece shares my passion for helping people slow down, observe, and build deeper connections with the natural world.
