Service Description
Introduce your students to the joy of slowing down, observing closely, and discovering the natural world through nature journaling. Every workshop is thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of your learners while making meaningful connections to the Ontario Curriculum. Using the Nature Journaling scaffold I Notice, I Wonder, It Reminds Me Of, students use words, pictures, and numbers to record observations, ask thoughtful questions, and reflect on their learning. Along the way, they build curiosity, strengthen observation skills, and develop confidence as learners while making meaningful connections with the world around them. Whether we're exploring your schoolyard, a nearby park, or another outdoor learning space, each workshop is engaging, hands-on, and designed to inspire a lifelong appreciation for nature. What to Expect A 60–90 minute hands-on nature journaling workshop. Curriculum-connected learning tailored to your grade level and learning goals. Guided instruction using the I Notice, I Wonder, It Reminds Me Of Nature Journaling framework. A personal nature journal for every student to take home. All teaching materials and supplies required for the session. Mileage included within 50 km of Orangeville. Workshop Overview Every workshop is customized to your learners and can support learning across Science, Language, Geography, Environmental Education, Mathematics, Social Studies, and the Arts. Students are guided through an inquiry-based learning experience where they: Observe nature closely. Record their thinking using words, pictures, and numbers. Ask questions and develop curiosity. Make personal and curriculum connections. Reflect on their observations through nature journaling. Workshops are designed to take place outdoors whenever possible. If weather doesn't cooperate, activities are thoughtfully adapted for indoor learning using natural materials, visual prompts, and structured journaling experiences that meet the same learning goals. By the end of the workshop, every student leaves with a nature journal filled with observations, questions, and ideas that encourage continued exploration beyond the session. Pricing 2026–2027 School Year $275 + HST per class (up to 30 students) Includes one nature journal for every student. Mileage included within 50 km of Orangeville. Mileage fees apply beyond 50 km. Discounts are available for booking multiple classes.
