Bring nature journaling into your classroom from anywhere. These live, interactive workshops inspire students to slow down, observe closely, ask thoughtful questions, and connect with the natural world using words, pictures, and numbers. Each workshop is tailored to your students and aligned with the Ontario Curriculum, making meaningful connections across Science, Language, Mathematics, Geography, Environmental Education, Social Studies, and the Arts. Whether students are exploring their schoolyard, a natural object, or the view outside their window, they'll build observation, inquiry, and reflection skills that extend beyond the workshop. What to Expect A live virtual workshop for up to 30 students. Curriculum-connected learning tailored to your grade level. Guided instruction using the I Notice, I Wonder, It Reminds Me Of Nature Journaling framework. Opportunities to observe, sketch, write, and reflect using words, pictures, and numbers. A follow-up resource to support continued nature journaling in the classroom. Workshop Overview Virtual workshops are delivered live through Zoom or your preferred video conferencing platform and are designed to be engaging, interactive, and easy to integrate into your school day. Before the workshop, teachers receive a simple materials list. Students need only paper, a pencil, colouring materials, a ruler, and a natural object. Through guided observation and inquiry, students explore the natural world, communicate their thinking, and share their discoveries with classmates. Each workshop encourages curiosity, creativity, and thoughtful reflection while building confidence in nature journaling.
