Plants & Pollinators Gr. 2 to 4

Service Description

An Outdoor Nature Journaling Experience for Grades 2 to 4 Pollination and Plant Reproduction is an engaging, curriculum aligned outdoor program designed specifically for students in Grades 2 to 4. Rooted in hands on scientific investigation and guided Nature Journaling, this workshop helps students explore how flowering plants reproduce and how pollinators support healthy ecosystems. This program is ideal for students who have already had experience with Nature Journaling, as it builds on foundational observation and recording skills. Students deepen their ability to sketch with detail, label accurately, and document scientific thinking using the I Notice, I Wonder, It Reminds Me Of framework. However, the workshop can also be thoughtfully adapted for new journalers with additional modelling and scaffolding to ensure every learner feels confident and successful. Through close observation of real flowers, students identify plant structures, investigate evidence of pollination, and explore how seeds are formed. Connections to Science, Language, and Visual Arts are intentionally integrated, strengthening both content knowledge and communication skills. Students leave with a clearer understanding of plant reproduction, ecosystem interdependence, and the power of careful observation in scientific inquiry. Programs starting at $250 + tax/class (up to 30 students). NOTE: STARTING PRICES WILL INCREASE FOR FALL 2026: Starting at $275 + tax/class (up to 30 students) Mileage fees apply beyond 50 km. Discounts available for multiple class bookings.
